Privacy-first fleet presence

Know when your vehicles are here. Not where they go.

Asset On Site detects when vehicles and assets are at your company locations using simple local LoRa radio. No GPS. No SIM. No continuous tracking. Plug one small USB tag into each vehicle and place a gateway at each location you want to recognise.

Installation

Installation takes seconds.

The vehicle device is a small USB-powered LoRa tag. Plug it into any available USB socket. That is the entire installation.

1. Plug

Connect the Asset On Site tag to a USB socket in the vehicle.

2. Drive

With USB power, the tag automatically talks to nearby Asset On Site gateways.

3. Done

There is nothing else to install.

No technician. No wiring. No SIM activation. No vehicle modification.

Power only when needed

The tag sleeps when the vehicle does.

The tag draws power from the vehicle USB socket. When the ignition goes off, the tag switches off too — no battery drain, no permanent transmission, no separate charging.

Asset On Site remembers the last confirmed base instead of instantly declaring the vehicle away. A van that shut down inside the Main Depot stays represented as parked there.

The simple question

Do you really need to know where the vehicle is?

Presence only

Sometimes “here, there or away” is all you need.

How it works

Three parts. One question answered.

Step 01

Asset On Site USB Tag

Plugged into a USB socket in the vehicle, the tag broadcasts a secure local presence signal whenever the vehicle has power. No GPS. No mobile data. No SIM.

Step 02

Asset On Site Gateway

Installed at a company location, the gateway listens for nearby tags and connects over Wi-Fi or Ethernet. Only the gateway needs internet access — and each one creates a Asset On Site Base.

Step 03

Asset On Site Platform

Which asset is present, at which base, when it arrived and when it left. Delivered as a dashboard, Telegram alerts, API and webhooks. Not a map.

Multiple bases

One fleet. Multiple bases.

Each gateway creates a trusted Asset On Site Base. Add one wherever “here” matters to your business — the vehicle tag never changes.

Need another location? Add another gateway.

A new base needs only a Asset On Site Gateway, power, and Wi-Fi or Ethernet. No GPS. No cellular network in the vehicle. Start with one location and expand whenever the business does.

What happens between bases?

We don't know.

And that's intentional.

Asset On Site knows when a vehicle leaves one company location and when it reaches another. It does not follow the journey in between.

Company visibility without journey surveillance.

Notice something missing?

There is no live vehicle map.

Asset On Site isn't designed to follow employees through cities or reconstruct journeys. It only recognises assets when they interact with trusted Asset On Site locations.

That's not a missing feature. That's the feature.

Privacy

Privacy by architecture, not policy.

Traditional tracking systems collect detailed location information and then promise to protect it. Asset On Site takes a different approach: it avoids collecting unnecessary location data in the first place.

No GPS

The vehicle does not continuously calculate or report its geographic location.

No SIM

Vehicle tags do not require cellular subscriptions.

No route history

Asset On Site cannot reconstruct where a vehicle travelled.

No driver surveillance

The system only detects whether an asset is within the company's local presence zone.

The safest location data is the location data you never collected.

Presence zone

A presence zone, not a GPS geofence.

Asset On Site uses local LoRa radio coverage to determine whether an asset is within the operational area. Buildings, antennas and terrain naturally affect radio coverage, so the system works with reliable presence rather than pretending to offer metre-perfect positioning.

Configurable detection rules and signal hysteresis prevent false arrival and departure events.

Not only vehicles

If it can carry a tag, Asset On Site can know if it's there.

Use case · Service fleet

For companies that need fleet visibility — not employee visibility.

A maintenance company operates 60 vans. Management needs to know which vans are available, which have left, which have returned, and which haven't returned by the end of the day. Asset On Site answers those questions without monitoring where technicians go between departure and return.

Attach Asset On Site tags to generators, trailers, excavators or mobile equipment. The dashboard becomes a live presence inventory.

Architecture

One radio hop. One secure uplink.

Tags speak LoRa to the gateway. The gateway speaks to your server. Everything downstream — dashboard, alerts, API, webhooks — works from presence events, not coordinates.

Your company can know the van reached the warehouse.

It doesn't need to know where the driver stopped on the way.

Philosophy

Know enough.

Modern connected systems are often designed to collect the maximum amount of data available. Asset On Site starts with a different question: what is the minimum amount of information required to solve the business problem?

If the question is “is the vehicle available at the depot?”, then thousands of GPS coordinates may be unnecessary.

Not less information than you need.

Not more information than you need.

Just enough.
